Sport Psychology

Mental Performance addresses the mental state and preparedness of athletes as they train and compete.  Mental constructs such as emotional control, behaviour attitudes, imagery, concentration and perserverence all contribute to the performance of athletes.

A number of mental performance professionals are retained to provide services for the ASDC Calgary.  These professinoals are either Registered Psychologists through the Canadian Psychology Association (CPA) or hold a Masters's Degree in Psychology.

They provide and deliver a variety of services; depending on the individual need or circumstance:

  • Critical incident response
  • Performance on demand services
  • Mental assessments & strategies
  • Goal setting & team dynamics
